Abingdon at Lake Wilborn- Hoover’s First 55+ Community

Abingdon is Hoover’s premiere, active adult community for the 55+ crowd. This master plan community is designed for active adults and is located in the heart of Hoover, AL off of Stadium Trace Parkway and Hwy 150.
            

One hundred lots will be available on 56 acres with the first phase currently open for home reservations. Homes are designed for main level living with master bedrooms and garages on the main level. Purchasers have the option of additional upstairs space in many of the models.

Abingdon at Lake Wilborn Floor Plans

Abingdon has a variety of floor plans to meet every buyer’s needs. The smallest plan available is the Bennett 2B which has 1,905 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

What is so nice about this 55+ community is that there are many options to customize your home to meet your specific needs. For example, you can extend the master closet size and you can extend the living space and dining space. You may choose to add a vaulted ceiling in your living room or a desk space in one of the bedrooms.

You also can add options for an upper level. Perhaps you simply need an unfinished storage area upstairs or you would prefer an upstairs den with a bathroom.

The options seem almost limitless in what you can do to make the floor plan work for you.

One of the larger plans is the Channing 1B that has more than 2,500 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. You still have all of the same customization options with this plan.

What I am hearing from my buyers is that one of their favorite options for customizing these floor plans is the ability to extend the size of the garage. Many buyers are coming from larger homes with full basements and this seems to be one of the biggest transitions to a smaller home.
